Problem is, that's not possible in most of the US. Very few kids have the ability to play regular pickup games bc most kids simply don't play soccer over here, nor is there usually somewhere for them to really play.

I have weak arches genetically so I overpronate and will get injured if I play or do anything without support, once I got a heal injury that stopped me from playing for 2 months and 5 months from a knee injury, so currently I have to work on strengthening my arches before I can go play barefoot sadly.
